Eight Pieces of Brocade

1. Palms stretched to sky

a. Hold barrel in front of you (inhale)

b. Push palms to sky and stand on your tiptoes (exhale)

2. Shooting the arrow

a. Hold fists in front of you (inhale)

b. Draw bow towards the left and look to left (exhale)

c. Bring fists in front of you (inhale)

d. Draw bow to the right and look to right (exhale)

3. One palm pushing up one pushing down

a. Hold the barrel In front of you (inhale)

b. Right palm pushes up, left palm pushes down (exhale)

c. Hold the barrel in front (inhale)

d. Left palm pushes up, right palm pushes down (exhale)

4. Arching torso

a. Holding the barrel in front (inhale)

b. Arch torso to left, right arm overhead, left arm

dangling (exhale)

c. Holding the barrel in front (inhale)

d. Arch torso to right, left arm overhead, right arm

dangling (exhale)

5. Turning torso

a. Looking through a ball in your hands (inhale)

b. Exhale and turn to the left,

still looking at the ball in your hands

c. Inhale turning to get back to center

d. Exhale and turn to the right,

still looking at the ball in your hands

 6. Breathing with hands

a. Inhale and hold arms out in front as you look

forward

b. Exhale and bend knees, arms going down

c. Inhale and circle arms up to holding them in front

d. Exhale and bend knees, arms going down

7. Palm strike

a. With knees bent, hold fists by your side (inhale)

b. Strike with right palm (exhale)

c. Bring right palm back to side as fist (inhale)

d. Strike with left palm (exhale)

e. Bring left palm back to side as fist (inhale)

8. Jiggle palms on back

a. Exhale with palms on lower back

b. Shake your body up and down with knees
