Yang Taichi Long Form Part III

1. Cross hands, right hand down, left hand up, turn left foot in.

2. Step back 45 degrees to right, collar bone strike.

3. Use torso to swing right arm out, push away with right hand, pull back with left, then press forward.

4. Draw back, then Push.

5. Diagonal single whip.

6. Turn left foot in, hold a ball with right hand on top, step out 45 deg. to right and do Parting the Horse’s Mane, use legs and torso to swing right arm out.

7. Turn right palm over, turn right foot out, hold ball between hands, step out 45 deg. to left and again do Parting the Horse’s Mane.

8. Turn left palm over, turn left foot out, hold the ball, step 45 degrees to the right and again do Parting the Horse’s Mane.

9. Turn right foot in, turn right hand over, hold the ball, and step out to the left and ward off with left arm.

10. Step out with right foot to Grasp Bird’s Tail, Press, and Push (like part one).

11. Single whip.

12. Turn left foot in, left palm up connecting with right hand hook, step out with right foot along 45 degree angle, roll right shoulder back as you step out with left foot, and strike with Lady Works at Shuttles (first corner). Right palm strikes at level of chin.

13. Right palm turns up, shift weight to right as you turn left foot in, shift back to left, step out with right foot and again strike with Lady Works at Shuttles (second corner).

14. Step out with left foot and strike again with Lady Works at Shuttles (third corner)

15. Repeat step 13 above (fourth corner).

16. Turn right hand over, turn right foot in, hold the ball between hands, step to left side, and ward off with left arm.

17. Repeat step 10 above.

18. Single Whip.

19. Cloud Hands (like part two)

20. Single Whip.

21. Snake Creeps Down: shift weight back to right leg, lower body by bending knees, left hand drops to waist level, turn left foot out and left hand turns out.

22. Golden Cock on left leg.

23. Step back with right foot to Golden Cock on right leg.

24. Repulse Monkey three times (like in part two)

25. Continue sequence as in part two until Fanning Through the Back.

26. Turn left foot in, right palm is open and held by chest, use torso to do downward blow and kick, quick draw with left arm.

27. Hold a barrel, Deflect Parry Punch (like part one).

28. Deflect to right, then turn left foot out, body turns left, ward off with left arm, step forward with right foot and Grasp Bird’s Tail, Press, and Push.

29. Single Whip.

30. Cloud Hands as in part two.

31. Single Whip.

32. High Pat on Horse: on left toe, right hand cocked by right ear, left palm up and arm in front of you.

33. Spitting Snake’s Tongue (block down with right hand while left arm cocks on left side, step forward with left foot, and use body and torso to thrust left hand to throat)

34. Turn left foot in, hands separate with right heel kick.

35. Step down with right foot, left palm crosses over to right side with palm up, step forward with left foot, left palm turns over and belly strike with right hand.

36. Deflect to right, then turn left foot out, body turns left, ward off with left arm, step forward with right foot and Grasp Bird’s Tail, shuffle forward with left leg, step out with right leg, then Press, and Push.

37. Single Whip.

38. Snake Creeps Down.

39. Seven Stars: arms cross at wrists.

40. Step back with right foot, right hand goes over left and separate arms to sides to do Riding the Tiger, right arm at shoulder height, left arm at waist level.

41. Arm come together, left arm above right, then separate to sides for Riding the Tiger, left arm at shoulder height, right arm at waist level.

42. Turn to right and place left heel one foot length behind right toes. Turn on left heel and right toes to Lotus Sweep Kick strike leg (or feet if easier) with hands.

43. Side kick with edge of right foot.

44. Step out with right foot and do Double Punch.

45. Shooting Tiger with Bow and Arrow: left elbow down, right elbow up, axis of left fist at right angles to axis of right fist.

46. Hold the barrel, then do Deflect Parry Punch.

47. Drawback and Push.

48. Close as in part one.
